Guest speaker Zach Taylor will present on his work with the MEGA Lab focused on developing methods to get community scientists more involved with coral reef fish surveys and free diving. Guest speaker Alex Spengler will present on his development of an app that allows users to interact with digital reconstructions of coral reefs and shipwrecks used in underwater research. Alex will share how data collected for science can be used in new and creative ways + touch on themes of improving access to isolated or sensitive ecosystems. This event is free to the public.
