Join us at Laulima Nature Center for a hands-on, community-focused event dedicated to hiking gear decontamination, reuse, and sustainability. As we head into a new year of adventures, this is the perfect chance to refresh your gear and connect with others who care about protecting Hawaiʻi’s natural spaces.
This event is all about bringing together our conservation community, sharing knowledge, having fun, and stepping into the new year with clean gear and renewed commitment to the places we love.
What to Expect:
Tables From Local Conservation & Environmental Groups:
Learn about the different ways we can protect our ecosystems and the people working to make it happen.
Rummage Sale:
Shop second-hand items, including clothing, home goods, books, and more! We welcome community donations of goods (in good condition) for the rummage sale. Donation drop off dates (9am-3pm): Dec 20-21, Dec 29, Jan 9-10.
Mending Station:
Give your gently used gear a second life! Visit our mending station for simple repairs and tips on extending the life of your outdoor equipment. For an $15 donation you can get an item of your choice embroidered with a design special for this event (can be used to patch holes depending on item condition).

We welcome our community to bring dishes to share (please include an ingredient list).
Refreshments:
Enjoy some delicious drinks from Kalo & Cream. For a donation, some alcoholic beverages will be available.
